Our Wedding

We first crossed paths in the Colorado mountains through mutual friends, over a raucous game of Cards Against Humanity. Haley kept picking Mike’s cards, and he kept picking hers—bonding instantly over their equally twisted sense of humor. A few weeks later, while Haley was visiting a bridesmaid in Wyoming, Mike reached out. From there, it was hours-long Facetimes, late-night phone calls, and discovering shared passions for cycling (both road and mountain), snowboarding, live music, and exploring the outdoors. It actually took months before we officially began dating. Our first date was at the Colorado symphony, seeing Gregory Alan Isakov. Since then, we have traveled to Chicago, Boston, Lake Tahoe, Seattle, Los Angeles, and countless Colorado spots to see our favorite musicians. In our ten years together, we've shared two homes, adopted one very loved Shorkie named Leo, and watched Mike’s sons grow from being shorter than Haley to towering over her. Together, we've blended into a modern family that loves cozy nights in with games and movies—still laughing at each other’s jokes just like that first night.

For a map of the area, please click the image below. Highlighted in red is the route from Denver up to the wedding venue in Pine, CO taking Highway 285. Travel up to the wedding location can be by car or Uber/ride share from the Denver metro area. Please note that Uber/ride share back from the wedding site could be difficult given its location. We will provide shuttle service from the wedding site to the Fairfield Inn &amp; Suites in Littleton for your convenience, where you can Uber/ride share from there as needed. Hotel recommendations are listed below for your reference, with the Fairfield Inn &amp; Suites in Littleton being the preferred location.

Rooms are blocked under the King–Fish Wedding and are set at $159/night. The room block is available until late July, which is when rate could increase. We will provide limited shuttle service from the reception location back to the hotel. Hotel is ~30 min (25 miles) from the wedding venue in Pine, CO and ~40 min from Denver International Airport.

Directions

From I-285 Southbound: Take the exit toward S Elk Creek Road and turn right. Drive 2.5 miles and turn left into Wedgewood Weddings Mountain View Ranch. From CO-470 Westbound or Eastbound: Take the exit for I-285 towards Fairplay. Drive 19 miles. Take the exit for S Elk Creek Road and turn right. Drive 2.5 miles and turn left into Wedgewood Weddings Mountain View Ranch.

Travel

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a must-visit Colorado landmark offering more than just concerts. Visitors can hike scenic trails, explore the Colorado Music Hall of Fame, take stunning photos among red rock formations, or attend fitness events like Yoga on the Rocks. Even without a show, the amphitheatre is open daily for sightseeing, exercise, and enjoying breathtaking views.

The Coors Brewery Tour in Golden, Colorado is a 90-minute guided experience showcasing the brewing process, with beer tastings for guests 21+. Tours run Thursday through Monday from 10 AM–4 PM and require advance reservations, which open 25 days ahead. Tickets start at $20, and a shuttle transports visitors from a designated parking area. No large bags or strollers are allowed, and guests should arrive early to check in.

Coors Brewery Tour

The Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden features over 100 historic trains, hands-on exhibits, and a scenic 15-acre railyard. Visitors can explore vintage locomotives, watch model trains, and ride full-size trains on select days. Open Tuesday through Sunday, it’s a great stop for families, history buffs, and anyone interested in Colorado’s rich rail history.
